Kylie Kelce on the Parenting Boundary Every Mom Should Feel Fine About

Parenting comes with plenty of firsts, from bringing your baby home to figuring out your new routine. But one thing that can get a little tricky is navigating family opinions and setting boundaries with relatives who mean well but sometimes overstep.

Kylie Kelce, who shares three young daughters with her husband Jason Kelce, recently opened up about a boundary she believes every mom should feel comfortable setting. The topic came up during a conversation about the pressure parents often feel to accommodate extended family, especially during those early months when a new baby arrives and everyone wants to visit.

Kelce's take was straightforward: parents are allowed to say no. Whether it is limiting visitors in the first few weeks, asking relatives to call before stopping by, or simply protecting nap time and feeding schedules, she made clear that putting the needs of the baby and the parents first is not rude. It is necessary.

She also pointed out that boundaries are not a rejection of family. They are a way to keep the household calm and give new parents room to recover and bond with their child. In her view, moms should not feel guilty for asking for space or for declining help that creates more stress than it relieves.

The message landed with plenty of parents who have faced similar situations. Setting limits early, Kelce suggested, can actually make family relationships smoother in the long run, because everyone knows what to expect and resentment has less room to build.
