Members of the Garland County Crazy Quilters Extension Homemakers Club recently dropped off a large donation of handmade baby essentials at the Changepoint Pregnancy Care and Parenting Center. The group delivered 55 baby blankets, along with a set of diaper pads and burp pads, all sewn and assembled by club members.
The items were created over several months during the club's regular meetings. Each blanket and pad was crafted with care, using donated fabric and supplies. Club members say they wanted to support the center's mission of providing resources and education to new and expectant parents in the community.
Changepoint Pregnancy Care and Parenting Center offers parenting classes, material assistance, and counseling services to families in need. The center relies heavily on donations from local groups and individuals to stock its baby supply closet. Staff members expressed gratitude for the quilting club's ongoing support, noting that handmade items often carry special meaning for the families who receive them.
The Crazy Quilters club is part of the Extension Homemakers program, which encourages community service and skill-sharing among members. The group plans to continue making and donating items to local charities throughout the year.
