Aaron Kwok gearing up for Kai Tak concert, opens up on daughters and parenting chats with Andy Lau

Cantopop veteran Aaron Kwok Fu-shing has confirmed he is deep in rehearsal mode for his upcoming concert at the Kai Tak Sports Park, scheduled for late this year. The singer and actor, who has been a mainstay of Hong Kong entertainment for over three decades, told reporters that the new venue brings both excitement and pressure. "Performing at Kai Tak is a milestone for any Hong Kong artist," he said. "The stage design and sound system are completely different from anything we have used before. I want to make sure every detail is polished."

Kwok also touched on his home life, sharing that his two daughters are growing up fast and have started showing interest in music and dance. He admitted that balancing fatherhood with a demanding tour schedule is not always easy, but he makes it a priority to be present for school runs and bedtime stories. "They keep me grounded," he said. "When I come home tired, seeing them smile resets everything."

Asked about his famous peers, Kwok revealed that he recently had a long phone conversation with Andy Lau Tak-wah, during which the two swapped parenting tips and career advice. He also mentioned that Jacky Cheung Hok-yau, another Heavenly King, has offered him pointers on vocal endurance for long shows. Kwok laughed that the three of them now talk less about awards and more about school homework and healthy eating. He added that he hopes to invite both Lau and Cheung to his concert, though he is not sure their busy schedules will allow it. For now, he is focused on delivering a show that honors his legacy while introducing his music to a new generation.
